At Least 98 Palestinian Detainees Lost Their Lives in Israeli Custody Since October 2023, Statistics from Israel Shows
Based on figures provided by Israel, at least 98 Palestinian individuals have died while detained starting from October 2023. An advocacy organization based in Israel has stated that the real toll is probably significantly greater, due to numerous of disappeared individuals from Gaza.

Certain fatalities in detention have been high profile, such as a senior medical chief who lost his life in prison after a third of a year in custody.
An inmate incarcerated with the victim reported that he was brought to the exercise area by prison staff just prior to his passing, obviously hurt and unclothed from the lower body. His corpse remains unreleased to Gaza.
